My friends. We’ve been finishing up our school year. Determined to end well, I’ve poured much of my focus and energy toward wrapping things up, hence the silence on the blog. Today is the last day, and I feel myself needing to come up for air.

My absence from writing does not mean you have been absent from my thoughts. I wonder what things are like for you. What has this season looked like for you? End of school year festivities? Graduations to attend? A hectic season at work?
Are you needing to come up for air as well?
While I have some much needed time of solitude scheduled soon, it’s been the daily pauses that have really sustained me these last couple of weeks. I’m not talking about daily pauses to scroll on my phone, hang out with a friend, or DO something that I enjoy-although those things are nice breaks that also help. I’m talking about daily pauses that are VERY intentional- Times where I am checking in with my soul and recentering.
Anyway, as I’ve been clinging to these moments and also thinking about all of you, an idea came to mind.
I have something to give you🎁. It’s something we can do together. I’ve created an intentional pause for us.
Is this something you need right now? Do you need to come up for air as well? Take this 10 minute break with me. Get a little bit of space for your soul in whatever season you find yourself in.
Here’s how it works. You figure out a time and a quiet space that is best for you to take this pause. You don’t necessarily need anything for it. You can simply press play. If you’d like to make it more involved, you could light a candle or make a cup of tea. And if you have longer than ten minutes, you could grab your journal and stop the audio whenever you’d like to write things down or soak in each movement a little longer.
Whatever you need, wherever you are at, I hope you enjoy this intentional break. I hope you walk away feeling refreshed with peace in your heart. Below the audio recording, there is a playlist with some soothing music you can listen to when you’re finished. It will help bridge the gap between the sacred moment you just experienced and the ordinary life you are about to step back in to.
A soothing playlist favorite of mine… click here.
If you know someone who needs an intentional pause, please feel free to share this gift with them as well!
I’d also love to hear about the interaction you had with God in your sacred space, if you’d like to share!
