Music is beautiful.
We always enjoy it, but have found ourselves marinating in it and I’ve reflected on it a lot lately. The movie “Begin Again” and a visit to the Hebrew Music Museum have prompted this beauty soak in music.
I love the way it makes the mundane seem inspiring. I can put on my favorite playlist while I watch my kids play at the park and feel like I’m in a movie.
I can use music to majorly upgrade a trip to the market. AirPods plus teenager plus Bon Jovi to keep us company as we pick out apples and perfectly ripe tomatoes? Yes, please.
I love the power it has to unify. Take the Psalms for example. We have the privilege of joining saints through the ages in worshipping God with the same words for a thousand years.
I love that enjoying music is hard wired into us. We were made to move to the beat. I dare you to watch this movie clip and not dance to its addictive rhythm.
Friends, we come home in TWO WEEKS! We are full fledge wrapping things up here. Because of that, I plan to send one more post full of photos after the Professor’s graduation, but then you won’t hear from me again until we are on the backside of this adventure! Then I plan to share our final debrief thoughts about our six months here in Israel. So thankful to have community that has tracked with us through reading this blog. Love you all.
