Today I visited a prayer room and when I walked in, the only other guest was a woman playing the piano. There was something so beautiful about her playing in that sacred space, not for anyone else to listen, but just as a creative way of praying to the Lord.
It caught my breath to see three different types of butterflies on one bush. And as I was driving I was startled by a heron that was so tall he was eye-level to me while standing by the side of the road.
This past week at a retreat I heard the same owl every morning as I walked around after breakfast. Last night after getting back from the retreat I was sitting outside and heard an owl that sounded exactly the same and it felt like a reminder of God’s presence.
Every time I head east on Ivy road from my house, I am struck by the beauty and perfection of an oak tree growing in the yard on the left. It never fails to lift my spirits.
I'm a little late to the party, but the fireflies coming out has brought my heart so much joy. They're almost a tangible picture of the rest, fun, freedom, and anticipation that summers hold for me.

Sounds like a beautiful day outside, Emilie!

I’m so glad you shared that, Aislyn! You’re not late to the party. You’re keeping it going. 💜
